Setting Up A Home Care Assignment

How long does it take to start a new client-carer relationship?

 

From your initial enquiry to a carer beginning work in a client's home can take from as little as 1 week to four weeks.

 

Before a carer can be assigned to a client, we need to conduct a detailed assessment of the care need. we can then create a detailed care plan for them.

Once we have assessed the client's needs we will assign a suitable carer.

We are flexible and our process are very competitive. All our carers are trained and qualified to meets every individual's needs; and their is a provision for continuous training on the job which we fund.

Care costs are worked out on an individual basis.  Your care plan is based on your specific needs, and as these needs can vary considerably, so too can the cost of the care we provide.  However it is usually far lower than expected subject to negotiation if needed. 

Furthermore, after the assessment our team will discuss the costs with you and explain the services we've agreed to provide. Your weekly charges are inclusive - there will be no hidden extras such as carers food or travel costs added.

No changes will be made without an agreement in place about the change in costs, say for example if care needs to increase to a greater level or vice versa.

How Can I Raise Finance For Home Care?

 

Many clients are self funding, but all clients are entitled to attendance allowance as this is non means tested. 

Other non means-tested benefits are available from the NHS such as 'Continuum of Care' for clients in the later stages of life or those under the age of 65 with a diagnosis of severe illness such as early onset dementia. 

Funding is something we will discuss with you at your consultation.  Independent Financial advisors are a good way to find out about care funding.

Making Payments
All our carers are our employees, so all financial aspects of the carer-client relationship are handled by our head office.  This avoids any confrontations with a carer about financial issues, as you can discuss any situations that arise directly with us. Carers are not allowed to collect payments.

We invoice every four (4) weeks and the following payments are accepted:
  • BACS Payment (Online Transfer)
  • Cheques
  • Bank payment over the counter
